Topolino is a conceptual makeup artist. He takes inspiration
from streets, nature, insects, space, fairies, circus, cartoons and life. He
said that his style is "Trashy trendy, fantasy but chic". Topolino
doesn't have a specific technique; he says "it is more about imagination
than technique". I like the way he experiments with styles and lets his
imagination run wild.
This photograph portrays Topolino's 'Trashy trendy, fantasy
but chic' style, by the way he has co-ordinated the colour to run throughout
the whole photograph, he has thought about styling the nails and lips to
portray the same pattern, which enhances the vibrant orange/red colour. The
ghostly white tone of the models face and body contrasts against the intense
orange/red colour of her lips nails and jacket.
I have taken inspiration from Topolino; he has inspired me
to take inspiration from a lot of different things. I created my own makeup
look based on Topolinos techniques and style (Fear of dying | Development).
